Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer in the UK to deliver robust structural design for complex nuclear projects. You will act as a technical authority, producing calculations, drawings and documentation within a highly regulated environment.

You will join multidisciplinary teams across UK offices, contribute to safety cases, and support independent checking and verification while maintaining high standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer with a recognised institution.
  • Significant nuclear or similarly regulated industry experience.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver robust structural design and analysis for complex nuclear projects.
  • Review outputs to ensure compliance with nuclear and statutory standards.
  • Contribute to safety cases and design justification.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Support engineering decisions with technical leadership and verification.
