Job summary

Anduril Industries in London is seeking a Senior Computational Fluid Dynamics Analyst to lead aerodynamic analysis for a novel payload carriage and release system on unmanned rotorcraft. You will develop models and simulations using MATLAB/ANSYS/STAR-CCM+, and work with Mechanical Design, Stress, and Airframe teams to refine designs in collaboration with UK and US partner organizations.

The role requires a strong CFD background, hands-on tooling development, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc/MEng/MSc in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in a technical aerospace engineering role with stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in CFD software (ANSYS or STAR-CCM+).
• Experience in NX/Teamcenter and proficiency in CAD software.
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for models, data and automation.
• Strong CFD fundamentals applied to real-world problems.
• Hands-on CFD tooling development.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive aerodynamic analysis of payload carriage and release system.
• Apply first principles and appropriate analysis methods to decisions.
• Develop computational models and simulations to predict performance and loads.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Design, Stress, Actuation, and Airframe Teams.
• Define requirements and evaluate aerodynamic design with UK/US partners.
• Support tests to validate models and predictions.
• Contribute to tools, templates, and standards.
• Foster a positive, educational team environment.
• Travel to test sites and vendors as needed.
