We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our team at Zapp. The role involves supporting day-to-day fulfilment centre and central operations, implementing processes to optimise customer order fulfilment, minimise stock waste and loss, protect assets, and foster collaboration among fulfilment centre teams, central functions, and external partners.

Responsibilities:

The role includes:

Fulfilment Centre/Central Operations:

• Lead and manage fulfilment centre teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Develop strategies to optimise operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Oversee inventory management, including cycle counting and FIFO.
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards.
• Provide training and support to staff.
• Foster a positive, customer-centric work environment.
• Streamline processes to enhance customer experience.
• Lead recruitment and team growth.
• Develop strategies to prevent theft, fraud, and losses.
• Conduct audits, analyze data, and lead security investigations.
• Collaborate with IT to enhance loss prevention technologies.
• Work with internal teams to secure transit and storage of products.

Third-Party Logistics Partner Liaison:

• Act as main contact for external delivery/logistics partners.
• Build strong relationships for efficiency.
• Track and report KPIs, and address issues.
• Manage refunds and monitor approvals.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in retail operations.
• Understanding of retail, loss prevention, security, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data tools like Looker, Excel, Google Analytics.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience managing large teams and delivering training.

Working Arrangement:

Location: 5 days on-site, combining HQ and fulfilment centres.
