Westinghouse Electric Company in the UK is seeking a Senior CE&I Design Engineer to lead high‑quality control, electrical and instrumentation designs across the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning, at the Springfields site near Preston.

You will mentor junior engineers, oversee safety‑critical systems, ensure compliance with DSEAR, UKCA, and related regulations, and coordinate with external suppliers and stakeholders to deliver robust plant instrumentation and control solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrable experience delivering CE&I design solutions for the nuclear industry.
• Experience with Hazardous Areas design per DSEAR regulations.
• CE/UKCA marking of equipment and machinery experience.
• Motion control system design experience.
• Understanding of the HAZOP process and nuclear safety case aspects.
• Completion of CE&I craft apprenticeship.

Aufgaben

• Lead the work allocation of CE&I Designers and mentor juniors.
• Review and guide CE&I design deliverables and handover packs.
• Provide intelligent customer oversight for external consultancies.
• Ensure CE&I designs meet UK regulations and safety standards.
• Oversee design governance documentation and project estimates.
• Develop instrumentation and control designs for process plant modifications.
• Oversee and check documentation for UKCA/CE marking.
• Operate CE&I design tools: AutoCAD, Amtech/Trimble, Sistema, Dialux.
