Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer to lead design and integration of safety-critical systems across the nuclear lifecycle. The role involves working at multiple UK sites with hybrid patterns and significant travel to customer sites.

The candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to major defence and clean energy projects in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
• Experience applying IEC 61508 / BS EN 61511 in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical, control and instrumentation designs meeting safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on nuclear projects across lifecycle including decommissioning.
• Engage with regulators, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and integration.
• Produce and review technical calculations, specifications, and safety case inputs.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation and quality across engineering activities.
