Job summary

Portsmouth Water invites a skilled environmental professional to lead our Catchment Management Strategy, coordinating incentive schemes and working with farmers to reduce nutrient and pesticide losses to water. You will engage with landowners, agronomists and regional bodies, and drive pilot trials while delivering Walkovers and safety assessments.

The role requires an environmental degree, BASIS qualifications are desirable, a full UK driving license, and strong collaboration skills across

Qualifications

• Agricultural knowledge and experience essential.
• Knowledge of soils, nutrients and manure management would be desirable.
• Full UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and lead the delivery of catchment incentive schemes to farmers.
• Identify water quality risks and prioritise mitigation actions.
• Deliver catchment workshops and stakeholder presentations.
• Design strategies to measure impact of land-use changes on nitrate leaching.
• Lead regulatory work and risk assessments related to catchment management.
