Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is seeking a Senior Catchment Officer & Agriculture Lead in Havant for a full-time role (38 hours/week). Permanent position with a salary of £44,400–£52,300.

You will lead delivery of agricultural catchment incentive and grant schemes, build strong relationships with farmers and stakeholders, undertake farm visits, and provide practical soil and nutrient management advice. Strong project budgets and regulatory reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in agriculture, environmental or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of soils, nutrients and manure management.
• Experience with agricultural grant or funding schemes.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work in the field.
• BASIS Foundation and FACTS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of agricultural catchment incentive and grant schemes.
• Build relationships with farmers, landowners, agronomists and stakeholders.
• Undertake farm visits and catchment walkovers to identify water quality risks.
• Provide practical advice on soil, nutrient and manure management.
• Develop and deliver farmer workshops, presentations and engagement activities.
• Support farmer groups and wider catchment partnership initiatives.
• Develop programmes to measure the impact of changing land management practices.
• Manage scheme budgets, reporting, regulatory activity and relevant risk assessments.
