Job summary

Join AIG as a Senior Catastrophe Research Analyst to advance your career in a global market leader. You will lead reviews of catastrophe models, collaborate with our US and London teams, and work with external vendors to validate and enhance risk views across natural perils.

In this role you will develop industry-leading analytics, support model development, and help communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders while contributing to climate risk assessments and strategic data

Qualifications

PhD or Master’s degree in Climate Science, Natural Hazards, Applied Statistics, or a related subject.
3+ years of catastrophe research or model development experience (RMS preferred).
Strong understanding of catastrophe modelling science and regional risk.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Lead innovative catastrophe risk research focusing on peril regions most material to AIG.
Support standardised risk views and best practices.
Evaluate vendor models and implement model changes across the company.
Collaborate with ERM, risk engineering, underwriting, and other teams to share insights.
Support climate change impact assessments and data initiatives.
