Job summary

Arthur is partnering with a leading global insurer to hire a Catastrophe Modeller to join the London Exposure Management team. You will work across global natural and non-natural catastrophe portfolios, linking underwriting, actuarial and risk teams to support key business decisions.

This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and places catastrophe analytics at the center of underwriting strategy. The successful candidate will bring strong quantitative skills and experience in catastrophe

Qualifications

• Experience in catastrophe modelling, exposure management or a similar analytical role.
• Strong quantitative and data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of catastrophe modelling platforms and insurance/reinsurance portfolios.
• SQL, Python, R or VBA skills would be advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and an interest in working with stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

• Delivering catastrophe modelling and exposure management analyses across global portfolios
• Supporting underwriting, pricing, portfolio management and capital allocation decisions
• Providing catastrophe risk insights to senior stakeholders across the business
• Leading quarterly exposure reporting, analysis and management activities
• Contributing to model validation, tool development and process improvement initiatives
• Supporting the enhancement of catastrophe modelling capabilities and analytics frameworks
