Job summary

Atrium, an established Lloyd's insurer, is seeking a Catastrophe Analyst to join the Exposure Management team. You will support catastrophe risk analysis, regulatory reporting, and portfolio management across underwriting and reinsurance.

You'll work with modelling outputs, analyse perils and accumulations, develop analytics and workflows, and contribute to governance, continuous improvement, and data quality. A background in programming (SQL) and numeracy is important.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable knowledge or aptitude for computer programming.
• Aptitude for numeracy involving statistics and data analysis.
• Understanding of geography, natural science or engineering without requiring a science degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Exposure Management and underwriting through modelling and portfolio reviews.
• Analyse risk with vendor catastrophe models and explain results to stakeholders.
• Investigate portfolio movements, accumulations, and concentrations of risk across perils.
• Produce analytics to support reinsurance purchasing and programme optimisation.
• Lead or participate in event response for significant catastrophe events.
• Support MI and regulatory submissions; ensure data quality and bespoke outputs for committees.
