Abbeygate Rest Home is seeking a Senior Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care and help run the care team. You will support residents with their care needs, administer and record medications, update care plans, and ensure care is delivered safely and in line with policies.

You will lead by example, promote dignity and independence, and work closely with families and healthcare professionals to uphold the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience is essential.
• Experience in a senior or supervisory role preferred.
• Compassionate, reliable and confident in leading a team.

As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, person-centred care and supporting the day-to-day running of the care team. Your duties will include supporting residents with their individual care needs, administering and recording medication, updating care plans and records, supervising and supporting care staff, and ensuring all care is delivered safely, respectfully and in line with company policies and procedures.

You will lead by example, promote dignity, independence and choice, and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.

Previous care experience is essential, with experience in a senior or supervisory role preferred. You should be compassionate, reliable, confident in leading a team and committed to making a positive difference to the lives of those in your care.

The position is a 2 week rolling rota working every other weekend.

week one 24 hours and week two 32 hours.
