Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Residential Senior Carer at one of our care homes in Reading to lead a team and deliver person-centred care. You will train and supervise staff, delegate tasks on shift, and support with administering and ordering medications, while reviewing resident care plans and conducting risk assessments.

You will liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and residents' families, ensuring dignity and tailored support for every resident.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care required.
• Experience leading a care team in a residential setting.
• Ability to make decisions to support residents' wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff with training, supervision and shift delegation.
• Assist with administering and ordering medications and reviewing care plans.
• Liaise with GPs, district nurses and residents' families to support needs.
