Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Residential Senior Carer at a Reading care home to lead a dedicated care team and deliver person-centred support. You will oversee training, supervision and delegation on shift, and assist with medication management and care plan updates.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience in a residential care setting with proven team leadership skills.
• Warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to personalised resident care.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff on shift, including training, supervisions and delegating duties.
• Assist with administering and ordering medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident families to support wellbeing.
• Ensure dignity and individualised care for residents at all times.
