Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Residential Senior Carer to lead a care team and deliver person-centred care in a warm, welcoming home. You will supervise staff, assist with medication administration, and maintain up-to-date resident care plans and risk assessments.

The role offers ongoing training and opportunities to progress into senior/lead roles within the organisation, with a focus on compassionate, dignity-driven care for every resident.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care required.
• Experience in a residential care setting and proven leadership skills.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions to support residents’ wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff, including training and supervision.
• Support with administration and ordering of medication.
• Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident families.
