Sanctuary Group in Bushey, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Temporary Female Senior Care and Support Assistant. The role supports our retirement community at Rosary Priory, 93 Elstree Road, Bushey, WD23 4EE, with a focus on personal care, medication handling, safeguarding, and building strong relationships with residents.
The position is female-only due to policy, offering 21.75 hours per week at £14.77 per hour, for up to 10 months.
Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
- Recent experience of working in a similar role is essential
- Previous experience supervising a team
Responsibilities
- Leading a team of Care and Support Assistants
- Working closely with staff to provide personal care and support to our customers
- Safe handling of medication
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
- Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments as appropriate
- Managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers
- Understanding of relevant legislation and best practice
