Job summary

Crystal Care Collection Limited is hiring a Senior Care Assistant for Somer Valley House in Midsomer Norton. The role includes medication administration, care plan reviews and mentoring junior staff. The position follows a permanent rolling rota and a shift pattern of days and nights.

You will provide high-quality personal care, support residents with meals, and ensure records are accurately updated while maintaining a safe and welcoming home environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent required.
• Experience in care settings preferred.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide highest level of personal care to residents according to care plans.
• Medication management and administration in accordance with policy.
• Mentor less experienced staff and lead by example.
• Maintain and update resident records accurately.
• Keep the home clean, pleasant and welcoming.
• Support meal times and assist residents with eating and drinking.
