Job summary

Wood Care Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant in Huddersfield to care for residents and lead shifts, including medication rounds. The role welcomes applicants from Care Giver, Homecare Worker or Community Support Worker backgrounds and offers full training.

A Level 3 Health & Social Care or Care Certificate is desirable, with training provided; leadership experience is valued, and flexible shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Health & Social Care or Care Certificate is desirable, training provided.
• Experience leading a team is desirable, not essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication is required.
• Flexibility to work shifts is needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care including washing, hygiene and dressing.
• Aid residents with meals and medication rounds as part of shift leadership.
• Lead the shift and attend staff meetings as required.
• Support safeguarding responsibilities and staff training.
