Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Senior Care Assistant in Nottingham to join a caring and professional team. You will support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Ideal candidates will hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes with at least 2 years of experience. Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude are essential.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident and update care plans as needed.
  • Contribute to monthly evaluations in person-centred care planning.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
  • Act as a key contact for residents, relatives, and health and social care professionals.

About the Role

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

  • Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
