Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Positive attitude to supporting residents and staff.
• Flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needed.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
• Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and health/social care professionals.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
• Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
