Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm Senior Care Assistant for Fleet Hall Care Home in Hampshire. You will support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Key duties include monitoring wellbeing, contributing to care planning, supporting medication needs and supervising staff, with duties tied to communication with relatives and health professionals. DBS check required.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needed.
  • Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
  • Be a key contact for residents, relatives and health/social care professionals.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Senior Care Assistant at Fleet Hall Care Home in Hampshire.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.
ABOUT YOU
  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
