Job summary

Oakland Care in Loughton is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will lead a team of Health Care Assistants, assist with personal care and meals, and administer medications following training. You will update care plans and ensure records are accurate while delivering compassionate, person-centered care to residents.

We value teamwork, reliability, and a caring attitude, with a Permanent night-shift role and 42 hours per week in a supportive home environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience delivering care.
• Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or working towards it.
• Trained in medication administration.

Hours: 42 hours per week

Pay: £14.30 per hour

What you will be doing:

• Leading a team of Health Care Assistants, acting as a positive role model and trusted point of support.

What you need to succeed:

• At least a minimum of 2 years’ experience in delivering care or as a Senior Care Assistant.
• Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willing to sign up/or working towards it).

• Ability to induct, supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Time management skills to delegate tasks within a team.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal (within the team and to other external professionals) and writing (ability to write and maintain care plans) and digital skills.
