Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Abbey Court Care Home in Heath Hayes, Cannock. You will work with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, compassionate environment for residents, visitors and staff.

You will support with medication, contribute to person-centred care plans, supervise staff as needed, and act as a key point of contact for families and health professionals, reflecting Avery's values of respect and accountability.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Flexible and responsive to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and update care plans accordingly.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Assist residents with medication needs as required.
• Undertake staff supervision and support development.
• Serve as a key contact for residents, relatives and health professionals.
