Job summary

Avery Healthcare’s Moorlands Lodge Care Home in Surrey is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant to join our award-winning team. Role involves delivering high standards of personal care within a safe, inclusive environment.

You will support the care team, monitor residents, and participate in care planning while maintaining compassionate, respectful interactions with residents, families, and health professionals.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in care for care homes (or equivalent) is required.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' wellbeing and update care plans as needs change.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Assist residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
• Serve as a key contact with residents, families and professionals, escalating concerns as needed.
