Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Acacia Lodge Care Home in Manchester. You will work with the care team to deliver high-quality personal care in a warm, inclusive environment for residents, their families, and staff.

You will monitor wellbeing, support care planning, assist with medicines, and contribute to staff supervision and development while acting as a key point of contact. NVQ3 in care and at least 2 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in similar care environment.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Positive, nurturing attitude and flexibility.
• Ability to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care.
• Monitor resident wellbeing and update care plans.
• Assist with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and develop staff.
• Be the main contact for residents, relatives and professionals; escalate concerns.
