Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant at Amarna House Care Home in York to support the care team and deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, compassionate environment.

You will monitor residents, assist with care plans, support with medications, supervise staff, and act as a key contact for residents, relatives, and health professionals.

The role requires NVQ 3 or equivalent, 2 years' experience, strong communication, flexibility, and a caring, respectful approach.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Demonstrates effective communication in writing and speaking.

Responsabilités

• Monitor wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needed.
• Engage in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervision and support staff development.
• Be the primary contact for residents, relatives, and health professionals, addressing requests and escalating concerns.
