Job summary

Bridge Oak Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant for Windsor Court in Goole. The role is permanent and full-time, offering £14.35 per hour. You’ll play a vital part in delivering person-centred care that respects dignity and independence.

You’ll support residents with daily living, supervise junior staff, and help foster a warm, welcoming home where residents feel safe and valued.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 (or willingness to work towards it)
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Warm, approachable, and positive attitude; reliable and organised

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living to ensure high care standards.
• Train and supervise junior staff under supervision of senior staff.
• Assist residents with care needs while maintaining dignity and comfort.
• Assist residents with limited mobility or learning difficulties and use aids.
• Monitor residents who may be confused or have behavioural issues.
• Assist in continence promotion and care for residents with progressive illness or end-of-life care.
• Complete care plans and write daily records per company policies.
• Support social activities and encourage residents to continue hobbies and interests.
• Answer nurse calls, door and phone promptly and relay messages.
