Job summary

Berkley Care Group in Worcester is seeking a motivated Senior Care Assistant to join our welcoming care team. You will support residents with daily living tasks, promote person-centred care and work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of wellbeing and safety.

You will have a recognised health and social care qualification with at least 2 years’ experience in care. The role offers an hourly rate of £14.55, free meals on shift, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Recognised health and social care qualification with relevant experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for residents and families.
• Ability to lead, motivate, develop and delegate within a care team.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medicines and maintain care plans.
• Plan rotas and supervise a care team during shifts.
• Provide coaching and 1-2-1 support to team members.

What we are looking for:

• Someone who is committed to caring
• A relevant qualification in health and social care with at least 2 years’ experience in a care assistant role
• The ability to lead, motivate, develop and delegate to others and be part of a supportive team

• The ability to communicate with a wide range of people, including residents, the home team and family members

• Administering prescribed medicines and maintaining associated records and care plans
• Carrying out basic domestic duties and preparing light meals and refreshments for those in your care
• Planning rotas and supervision of a team whilst on shift to oversee and maintain the care of residentsOngoing coaching, regular 1-2-1s with team members and inductions
• Attending team meetings and being a role model for the home team
