Job summary

Oakland Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our award-winning team in Loughton. You will lead a group of Health Care Assistants, deliver personal care and meals, and administer medications with strict guidelines.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience delivering care or in a Senior Care Assistant role.
• Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or working towards it).
• Trained in medication administration.
• Excellent people and customer service skills.
• Ability to induct, supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Strong time management and delegation abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and digital skills.
• Caring attitude and flexible, reliable approach.

Hours: 42 hours per week

Pay: £14.30 per hour

What you need to succeed:

• At least a minimum of 2 years’ experience in delivering care or as a Senior Care Assistant.
• Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willing to sign up/or working towards it).

• Ability to induct, supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Time management skills to delegate tasks within a team.
• Excellent communication skills - verbal (within the team and to other external professionals) and writing (ability to write and maintain care plans) and digital skills.
