Job summary

Cherrybrook Care Home in Bradford is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to provide high-quality, person-centred care for residents with complex needs. You will manage shifts, ensure safe care delivery, and support the team with medication and wellbeing monitoring.

The role requires NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum) with Level 3 desirable, and offers paid DBS, a pension, and uniform. 5.6 weeks of annual leave (full-time) is included.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), Level 3 desirable or willing to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency
• Experience supporting or leading a care team within a care environment
• Confidence supporting individuals with complex needs, including mental health or behavioural support
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A calm, patient and professional approach

Responsibilities

• Oversee medication administration and resident wellbeing
• Ensure shift runs smoothly with a well-organised, safe, structured environment
• Maintain accurate records and follow care plans
• Communicate with families and healthcare professionals
• Support and guide Care Assistants to maintain a calm, stable environment
