Job summary

Cherrybrook Care Home in Bradford is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with complex needs, including advanced dementia and mental health conditions. You will provide safe, person-centred care and follow individual care plans while upholding dignity and wellbeing.

You will work days and nights, in a supportive team, with DBS funding, pension, uniform, and on-site parking. The role offers 44 hours per week with pro rata annual leave and opportunities to develop within a specialist care

Job description

Cherrybrook Care Home is a large, purpose designed service in Bradford, providing specialist care across two units for 120 residents with complex mental health needs, dementia and challenging behaviours. The home delivers high quality, clinically led care within a structured and supportive environment, combining specialist nursing expertise with a strong focus on dignity, stability and person centred support.

Care Assistant Contract
  • £12.71 per hour
  • Contracted to 44 hours per week, Bank Vacancy also available.
  • Dayshift & Nightshift Available
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided and onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will support individuals with a range of complex needs, including advanced dementia, mental health conditions and other long term health challenges. Your role is to provide safe, consistent and person centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow individual care plans and support structured routines, helping to create a calm, stable and supportive environment. You will build positive relationships with residents, understanding their needs and responding appropriately to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.

This is a hands on role that requires patience, resilience and a calm approach, supporting both the physical and emotional needs of residents while ensuring care is delivered safely and consistently at all times.
