Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Moorlands Lodge Care Home in Surrey. You will support the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The ideal candidate has an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care, at least 2 years’ experience, and strong communication skills. You should be flexible, proactive, and able to nurture residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, updating care plans as needed.
• Participating in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting development where required.
• Acting as a point of contact for residents, relatives and professionals, escalating concerns as needed.
