Job description

About The Role

Please note that this is a full-time role working day or night shifts - 38.5 hours per week. Full flexibility is required.
As a Senior Care Assistant at Rivendell View, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our care. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining us, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.

For you, it will mean planning and implementing care that provides our residents with a sense of security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and influencing the team positively. Whether showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping at the end of life, or talking to a resident’s family, you’ll do so with kindness. You will also be involved in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.

One of your key responsibilities as a Senior Care Assistant is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships within your team.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. It is important that you can recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know what actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately, including escalation if necessary.
