Job summary

Worsley Lodge Care Home in Salford is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead and support your care team across day and night shifts. You will oversee medication administration, monitor residents’ wellbeing and ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered consistently.

You will manage shift operations, maintain accurate records and communicate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care; Level 3 desirable.
• Medication administration training with competency essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team; strong communication and leadership.

About Worsley Lodge
Worsley Lodge is a welcoming 48 bed care home in Worsley, Manchester, providing residential care for older people. Our dedicated team provides compassionate, person centred care, supporting residents to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life in a warm and supportive environment.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• Contracted to 22, 33 or 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.
You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
We Are Looking For

• [SVQ/NVQ] Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach
