Job summary

Avon Search currently recruits on behalf of a well-established residential care home in Poole, Dorset. As a Senior Care Assistant (Days), you will support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and provide day-to-day leadership to the care team in a 54-bed home with en-suite rooms.

You will promote independence and wellbeing, maintain care plans, and work to the highest standards. The role offers full-time hours, a competitive hourly rate of £13.96–£14.71 and the chance to develop

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or an experienced Care Assistant ready to progress.
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant (Days), you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of outstanding care while providing day-to-day leadership to the care team.

Working alongside colleagues, you will ensure residents receive compassionate, person-centred care while promoting their independence, wellbeing and quality of life. You will also provide guidance and support to junior members of the team, helping to maintain the highest standards of care throughout the home.

About You

We're looking for an experienced and compassionate care professional who enjoys supporting others and leading by example.

You will have:

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or an experienced Care Assistant ready to progress.
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
• Experience supporting older people within a residential care setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to motivate and support colleagues.
• A caring, reliable and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional person-centred care.
