Job summary

Avon Search & Selection is recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant at a luxurious 62-bed home in Nailsea, Somerset. The role supports residents with daily living, leads the care team on shifts and ensures safety and dignity in all interactions.

You will administer medications, maintain care plans and collaborate with nurses and families to deliver exceptional person-centred care in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
  • Previous experience as Senior Care Assistant in residential or nursing home.
  • Medication administration experience.
  • Compassionate, reliable and committed to delivering exceptional care.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Passionate about making a positive difference to residents' lives.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a supportive team.

Location: Nailsea, Somerset

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Hours: Full Time - Days or Nights Available

About the Home

Avon Search is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established luxury residential and nursing care home located in the heart of Nailsea, Somerset. This purpose‑built 62‑bed home provides high‑quality residential, nursing and respite care within a welcoming and supportive environment. Surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and mature greenery, the home combines peaceful countryside surroundings with the convenience of nearby shops, cafés and excellent transport links. The experienced management team leads a dedicated workforce of around 75 staff, creating a caring and professional atmosphere where residents receive truly person‑centred support. Every resident is treated with dignity, respect and compassion, with individual care plans tailored to their personal needs, preferences and wellbeing. The home offers a wide range of excellent facilities including comfortable lounges, spacious dining areas, an in‑house hair salon, free Wi‑Fi, secure gardens and wheelchair access throughout. A varied programme of activities, community involvement and regular outings helps residents remain active, engaged and connected with local life. The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents while providing guidance and leadership to the wider care team.
