Avon Search is recruiting for an experienced Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader to join a 32-bed nursing home in East Grinstead. You will lead the night shift, deliver person-centred care and support residents, families, and staff.

This role offers full-time night shifts, development opportunities within a charitable care foundation, and a supportive team environment in West Sussex.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader within a nursing, residential or elderly care setting
• Experience supporting older people with complex nursing needs
• Medication administration experience (desirable)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and proactive approach
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and supporting others

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of exceptional care while providing leadership to the care team throughout the night.

Working closely with residents, families, nurses and colleagues, you will help ensure the highest standards of care are maintained while creating a safe, calm and supportive environment overnight. You will lead by example, oversee the smooth running of the night shift and ensure residents receive outstanding, person-centred care at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting the care team throughout night shifts

• Assisting residents with personal care and overnight support
• Supporting medication administration where appropriate

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or similar role within a nursing, residential or elderly care setting
