Job summary

Stanely Park Care Home in Paisley’s Balgonie area is a warm, 40-bed home providing residential and respite care in a homely setting where residents feel safe, supported and valued.

As Senior Care Assistant, you will lead your team to deliver safe, high quality, person-centred care, oversee medication, monitor wellbeing and ensure accurate care records are maintained. SVQ2 is required; Level 3 is desirable, with medication training essential. Strong communication and leadership are key.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care required (minimum).
• Medication administration training with competency essential.
• Experience leading or supporting a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support the team in delivering safe, high quality, person-centred care.
• Take responsibility for smooth running of your shift and ensure care is well organised.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.55 per hour
• Contracted to full time hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
