Senior Care Assistant - day shifts - immediate start in Golders Green, NW11

Ventry Care is recruiting Senior Care Assistantsto our residential care home. We care for older persons / older persons living with dementia.

Rate from £14.00 per hour, plus great benefits and career development to management for candidates who can excel in the role.The ability to work flexibly around your family or other commitments, we can offer between 24 and 36 hours per week 4 to 5 days.

THE ROLE

To run a shift to ensure the care needs of our service users are met; organising your staff team around medication, personal care, continence, moving and handling, mealtime support, social activities, andthose other tasks required.

To build strong professional relationships with all those around you; making sure family and friends feel welcomed, that health care professionals are kept well-informed, and that you are keeping yourmanager up to speed with residents needs and progress.

To be a team player, following guidelines and policies, and having good written and 'IT and systems' knowledge to support residents care plans and record keeping. We use care management software, and smartphone + tablet hardware, to record the care provided to our residents.

To help our residents live a full life; to be more independent, to enjoy their daily activities, and to exercise choice in their day-to-day living.

To make all the residents you care for feel safe, comfortable and secure. In other words, you will make them feel right at home.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO HAVE?

You will have experience working with older people in residential care, you are willing to learn, areflexible, patient, caring, organised,enthusiastic,and great with people.

You will have completed your QCF 1-5 (equivalent NVQ 2 or 3 in Care).
