Job summary

Job description

We are recruiting a Senior Care Assistant to assist Service Users with their day to day activities of daily life, whilst assisting and supporting Management in the delivery and resource management of the service.

Responsibilities

• To ensure the effective operation of the home; in the absence of the Manager and, or the Deputy Manager.
• Help promote a homely atmosphere that encourages the service users to be as independent as possible.
• Help in the provision of individual and group programmes of care.
• Participate in involving service users in recreational and social activities both within the home and wider community.
• Encourage and assist service users to look after their own finances in so far as possible.
• Prepare and serve beverages and meals, help wash up and clear kitchen and dining areas.

Skills and Qualifications

• Applicants should have at least 1 year continuous experience in a leadership role, 2 years continuous experience in a formal care setting, within the last 5 years.
• Applicants should hold a recognised caring qualification e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC / HND.
