Job summary

Lowry Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant for a charitable care home in Blackpool. The role is a fixed term maternity cover (12 months) working 39 hours per week, daytime shifts from 08:00 to 20:00 and alternating weekends. The post requires at least two years of care home experience and NVQ2/NVQ3 qualifications with supervisory skills. Public transport links are excellent in the North Shore area.

We have the following jobs available –

• DAYS - 39 hours (3 1/2 x 12 hour) per week. 08:00 to 20:00, including alternate weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide the highest level of personal care and attention to residents, following individual care plans carefully and ensuring that all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.
• To supervise and support the care team, ensuring that the Care Home values of trust, respect and care are always maintained.

Person specification

• Two years minimum experience of working in a Care Home environment
• Ideally have a NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, QCF or equivalent (must have NVQ 2).
• Supervisory/leadership skills and a willingness to develop new skills
