Job summary

Roby Lodge Care Home in the Liverpool area is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to guide a care team in delivering high-quality, person-centred dementia care. You will oversee medication administration, monitor residents’ wellbeing and ensure accurate records are maintained while communicating clearly with families and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum)
• Medication administration training with competency essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial

About Roby Lodge Care Home
Our 40 bedded home provides residential dementia care in Huyton and supports older people living with dementia. Roby Lodge is a welcoming home with a strong community feel, offering a supportive environment for colleagues to develop their skills and provide high quality, person centred care.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• Contracted to 33 or 44 hours per week
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.
You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
We Are Looking For

• [SVQ/NVQ] Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach
