Roby House Care Home in Huyton is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide a care team and deliver high-quality, person-centred care during night shifts. About Roby House Care Home

Our 55 bedded home provides residential and nursing care in Huyton and supports older people, including those requiring palliative care. Roby House is a welcoming home with a warm, community focused feel, offering a supportive environment for colleagues to develop their skills and provide high quality care across a varied resident group.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Night Shift
• Paid [PVG/DBS], pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• [SVQ/NVQ] Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach
