Job summary

A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Support Worker to work in an exceptional care home in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. This is a permanent, full‑time role for 36 hours a week on days, with a salary of £13.00 per hour (£24,336 per annum) and a range of benefits.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers, dedicated to resident wellbeing in a luxury setting. An NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is required to be considered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a care setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents.
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals.
• Contribute to care planning and coaching of care workers.
• Promote services when dealing with relatives and enquiries.
• Assist in updating care plans and resident documentation.
• Make and report accurate assessments for continuity of care.
• Administer medications in line with policies.

As a Senior Support Worker your key responsibilities include:

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
• Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
• Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Be responsible for administrating medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Proven experience of working in a care setting

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £13.00 per hour and the annual salary is £24,336 per annum.
