Job summary

MPA Recruitment are seeking a Senior Care Assistant for a client in the Garvagh area with an immediate start. The role is varied and rewarding, and candidates should be able to work as part of a team in a setting with Christian values.

Responsibilities include medication administration, personal care, supervising support staff, developing and auditing care plans, coaching and training new staff, and handling administration using the RQIA Web Portal.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year’s experience in a similar role.
• Professional qualification in Nursing/Social Work or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience in a Senior Care Assistant role.
• Willingness to complete medication training.
• Ability to complete paperwork and update care plan notes.

• To liaise with local clergy in relation to the spiritual programme within the Home.
• Participate in regular staff/resident/relative meetings, adhering to the philosophy of care and aims of the Council for Social Witness.

Essential Criteria
