Job summary

Avery Healthcare's Fleet Hall Care Home in Fleet is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant to support the Care team in delivering high standards of personal care within a safe, compassionate environment.

You will contribute to person-centred care planning, monitor residents’ wellbeing, assist with medications, supervise colleagues, and act as a key contact for residents, relatives and health professionals.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, noting changes and updating care plans accordingly.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning, including monthly evaluations.
• Assist residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervision and support development where required.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives and health professionals, escalating concerns as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.

• Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
