Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Avalon Court Care Home in Coventry. You will work with our care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, and inclusive environment.

Ideal candidates will hold an NVQ 3 in care for care homes, have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar setting, and demonstrate clear communication skills both verbally and in writing. DBS check and UK work eligibility are required.

• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive , and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff .

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
