Job summary

Oakbank Care Home in Crieff invites applications for a Senior Care Assistant to guide and support a care team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care. You will help organise shifts, oversee medication administration and monitor residents’ wellbeing, ensuring continuity and high standards of care.

You will maintain accurate records, liaise with families and healthcare professionals, and contribute to a supportive, value-driven workplace aligned with the home’s core care values.

Qualifications

  • SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
  • Medication administration training with competency is essential
  • Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • A caring, compassionate and professional approach

Responsibilities

Job description

Oakbank Care Home is a well established care home in Crieff, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative and Respite care for up to 70 residents. With a strong, supportive team and a focus on high standards of care, the home offers a positive working environment where staff feel valued and supported in their roles.

Senior Care Assistant Contract
  • Contracted to 38.5 hours per week
  • Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.
