Oakbank Care Home in Crieff, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to support a dedicated team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents.

You will oversee shifts, ensure care is organised and safe, manage medication, monitor wellbeing and communicate with families and healthcare professionals to maintain continuity of care.

Formación

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is required, Level 3 is desirable.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and a caring, professional approach are required.

Responsabilidades

• Guide and support the team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Oversee shift organisation, ensuring consistency and high standards.
• Oversee medication administration and monitor residents’ wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate with families and health professionals.

Conocimientos

SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care

SVQ Level 3 (desirable)

Medication administration training

Oakbank Care Home is a well established care home in Crieff, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative and Respite care for up to 70 residents. With a strong, supportive team and a focus on high standards of care, the home offers a positive working environment where staff feel valued and supported in their roles.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• Contracted to 38.5 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach
