About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Everyone here understands that our residents are people with their own stories, just like them. Joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
Your responsibilities include planning and delivering care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to ensure personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, you will do so with kindness.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication.
Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are key aspects of your role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) and be willing to pursue Level 3. Experience in person-centered care planning and dementia care knowledge are preferred. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. Always communicate considerately and kindly.
