Job summary

Admirals Reach Care Home in Chelmsford is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide a care team in delivering safe, person-centred support to residents.

You will oversee shifts, manage medication, maintain records and collaborate with families and health professionals to ensure continuity of care. The role offers strong development opportunities within Care Concern Group.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum).
• Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.

Providing residential, nursing, residential dementia and nursing dementia care, the home offers a welcoming environment with bright living spaces, landscaped gardens, comfortable lounges and a strong family atmosphere. Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.35 to £14.95 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.
You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
